5 Sizzling Recipes to Cook on Your Landmann Firepit

Summer is here, and what better way to enjoy the great outdoors than by cooking on a LANDMANN firepit?

Whether you're hosting a backyard barbecue or simply enjoying a quiet evening with friends and family, our firepits with cooking capability are the perfect addition to your outdoor space. To get you started, we've compiled a list of 5 sizzling recipes that are sure to impress your guests and make your taste buds dance!

 

Grilled Pizza

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (e.g. pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, peppers)

 

Method:

  1. Light the fire in your LANDMANN firepit and let it burn until the coals are hot.
  2. Place a grill grate over the firepit and let it heat up.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough and place it on the grill grate.
  4. Spread pizza sauce over the dough and add your desired toppings.
  5. Cover the firepit with a lid or aluminium foil and let the pizza cook for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Remove the pizza from the grill grate using a pizza peel or tongs, and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

 

Grilled Brisket

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 lb brisket
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Wood chips (e.g. hickory, applewood)

 

Method:

  1. Rub the brisket with olive oil.
  2. Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl to create a dry rub.
  3. Rub the dry rub all over the brisket, making sure it's evenly coated.
  4. Light the fire in your LANDMANN firepit and let it burn until the coals are hot.
  5. Place the brisket on a grill grate and add wood chips to the firepit.
  6. Cover the firepit with a lid or aluminium foil and let the brisket smoke for 8-10 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 200°F.
  7. Remove the brisket from the firepit and let it rest for 20-30 minutes before slicing and serving.

 

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Ingredients:

  • Corn on the cob
  • Butter
  • Salt

 

Method:
  1. Peel back the husks on the corn, but don't remove them entirely.
  2. Remove the silk from the corn and discard it.
  3. Rub butter and salt over the corn kernels, then fold the husks back over the corn to cover it.
  4. Light the fire in your LANDMANN firepit and let it burn until the coals are hot.
  5. Place the corn on the grill grate and cook for 10-15 minutes, rotating every few minutes.
  6. Remove the corn from the grill grate and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

 

Campfire Chilli

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, chopped coriander

 

Method:

  1. Heat a casserole dish over the grill grate of your LANDMANN firepit.
  2. Add ground beef or turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chilli powder, and cumin.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cover the pot and let the chilli simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve hot with your favourite toppings.

 

Grilled Peaches & Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe peaches
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

 

Method:

  1. Cut peaches in half and remove the pit.
  2. Mix honey, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl until well combined.
  3. Brush the honey mixture over the cut side of each peach half.
  4. Place the peach halves on the grill grate of your LANDMANN firepit, cut side down.
  5. Grill for 3-4 minutes or until the peaches are tender and caramelised.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
