Exploring the Great Outdoors with a Portable BBQ

Exploring the Great Outdoors with a Portable BBQ

February is the perfect time to enjoy a walk, hike or trip away in the UK. With beautiful landscapes and scenic views, there's no better way to spend a weekend than exploring the great outdoors. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or simply looking for a leisurely walk, there are plenty of options.

To make your experience even more enjoyable, why not take a portable BBQ with you? With a Landmann portable charcoal or electric grill, you can cook delicious food and enjoy the world a little bit more.

Here are a couple of the UK's most beautiful adventure spots:

The Lake District:

This area of stunning natural beauty is perfect for those who love hiking and exploring. With its rolling hills and scenic lakes, you'll find plenty of trails to choose from, including the famous "Wainwright" walks.

Our favourite spots in the Lake District:

  • Helvellyn

Helvellyn, one of the highest peaks in the English Lake District, is a popular hike for casual climbers and those who enjoy rugged scrambling.

  • Lake Windemere

After you've eaten at Fell Foot Park, near Newby Bridge, why not hire rowboats to explore the lake and the River Leven? The park also has a good playground for kids.

The Yorkshire Dales:

With its stunning valleys, rolling hills and picturesque villages, the Yorkshire Dales is perfect for a leisurely walk. There are plenty of well-marked trails to choose from, including the famous "Three Peaks" route.

Our favourite spots in the Yorkshire Dales:

  • Malhamdale

One of the most popular spots and renowned throughout history for its beauty, Malhamdale has it all. There are excellent hiking opportunities and climbing if you're feeling particularly adventurous.

  • Ribblesdale

Embark on an exhilarating adventure through Yorkshire's Three Peaks: Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent, and Whernside - renowned among outdoor enthusiasts for their challenging treks and awe-inspiring vistas.

The Peak District:

This is a popular destination for those who love walking and exploring the great outdoors. With its rugged hills and stunning views, there's no better place to escape it all.

Here are a couple of our favourite spots in The Peaks:

  • Ladybower Reservoir

After a good look at the reservoir - the very same one that they filmed Reservoir Dogs at, we might add - you can head up into the hills through a walking trail that is absolutely gorgeous in spring and summer.

  • Stanage Edge

Follow in the footsteps of countless visitors who have carved out pathways to the summit, where you can traverse the ridge and marvel at the breathtaking vistas from atop the Edge.

Snowdonia National Park:

This beautiful area of Wales is perfect for those who love hiking and exploring. With its rolling hills, stunning lakes and rugged mountains, there's no better place to spend a weekend.

Some of Snowdonia's nicest spots:

  • Beddgelert

A tiny, perfect village in the heart of Snowdonia which is named after a heroic dog of local legend, we love Beddgelert! About two hours climb from here, at Moel Hebog, there's a gorgeous panoramic view extending across to Cardigan Bay.

  • Dolwyddelan Castle

Dolwyddelan Castle was constructed by Llewelyn the Great between 1210 and 1240. A visit to this splendid ancient stronghold is worthwhile, not only for its historical significance but also for its stunning vistas.

The Cairngorms:

Choose various idyllic locations in the Cairngorms, from hilltops to loch sides to bothies. With some of the best wild camping spots in the world, Scotland's progressive access laws allow you to wild camp responsibly on most unenclosed land.

Some of our favourite spots in the Caringorms:

  • Uath Lochans

Tucked away in a stunning woodland, a medley of petite lochs awaits, making it one of the most delightful hiking destinations. Truly one of the Cairngorm's most magical and secretive spots.

  • Loch Merich

Bordered by beaches and woodlands, and with the Northern Cairngorms' snow-capped peaks in the backdrop, Loch Morlich offers a serene and splendid spot to spend a day, especially with a bit of BBQ'ed food.

Why choose a portable BBQ?
